The Passenger is not permitted to carry in their carry-on baggage, or on his/her person, items such as nail files, scissors, letter openers, pocket knives, etc. Such items must be placed in checked baggage only.

I will not be taking Dangerous or Non-permitted goods on board

Who can check in?

Passengers travelling with checked baggage will need to drop of their baggage at the Rex Check-in Counter before proceeding to the boarding gate.

Passengers are required to present a valid form of photo identification to present with your boarding pass at the boarding gate.

Passengers with special requirements must check-in at the airport. Special requirements are required to be advised to Rex upon booking. These include:

  • unaccompanied minors;
  • elderly/infirmed or wheelchair-bound;
  • those with sensory impairments or medical conditions or travelling with carers;
  • those needing guide dogs/assistance dogs, oxygen or harness, or to transport firearms

Make sure you have a printer to print your boarding pass before you proceed to check in online. Please note, you do not need to print your boarding pass if you are using mobile check-in.

If checking in on a computer I have a printer to print the boarding pass

I do not need special assistance

I have a valid form of photo identification that I will bring with me to the airport for presentation at the boarding gate.

When to check in
  Web check-in opens 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure and closes 60 minutes prior to scheduled time of departure.

I understand and accept that I should arrive at the check-in counter before check-in closes.

Carry-on baggage allowance

One small bags and one personal item, each not exceeding: depth 23cm (9in), height 34cm (13in), length 48cm (19in).

The total weight of carry-on baggage must not exceed 7kg for each passenger.

Web-checked Passengers who are unsure if their carry-on baggage exceeds cabin baggage limits should approach Rex staff to have baggage tested against the permitted size/weight BEFORE check-in closes to check in the bags which exceed carry-on restrictions if necessary. Web-checked passengers with baggage exceeding cabin limits will have their baggage offloaded. Baggage will only be uplifted on the next available flight and it would be the passenger’s responsibility to collect these bags from the airport when they arrive. Excess baggage fees will also be levied if offloaded baggage exceeds 15kg [23kg for Flex passengers or international connecting passengers].

If you're connecting to/from Virgin Australia with checked baggage

I do not have check-through baggage connecting to/from a Virgin Australia flight

If you're connecting to an international flight
